4 Ways To Grow Through Discipleship

Discipleship is an essential part of the church, and it is an integral part of how the church grows and matures. Discipleship is the process of teaching and training others in their Christian journey, and it is through this process that the church is able to raise up new leaders and expand its reach. The goal of discipleship is to help people grow in their faith, become more mature in their understanding of the gospel, and to become better equipped to serve the church.

Discipleship is a relationship-based approach to teaching and learning, and it is designed to help people learn how to live out the gospel in their daily lives. At its core, discipleship is about relationships. It is about learning to love and serve one another and to walk in the ways of Jesus Christ. It is about learning to be a faithful disciple of Christ and to model our lives after him.

  1. The first step in discipleship is to learn from Jesus. This means studying the Bible, praying, and finding ways to increase our understanding of God and his will for our lives. This is the foundation for all other aspects of discipleship.

  2. The second step is to learn from other Christians. We can learn from those who are more mature in the faith and those who have been walking with the Lord for longer than we have. By learning from others, hopefully someone 30 or more years older, we can gain a greater understanding of gospel living, and we can learn from their experiences.

  3. The third step is to serve in the church. This means engaging in the ministries that help strengthen and grow the church, such as leading small groups, teaching classes, mentoring new believers, and participating in outreach activities. Serving in the church is an important part of discipleship, because it allows us to put our faith into action.

  4. Lastly, the fourth step is to share the gospel with others. This can be done through evangelism, witnessing, and sharing our faith with non-believers. Discipleship is a journey, and it is our responsibility to share the gospel with those who do not yet know the Lord.

Discipleship is an essential part of the church and it is essential that we all strive to live out the gospel in our daily lives and to help others do the same. Discipleship is a journey and it is an ongoing process of learning, growing, and serving. We can all take part in this journey by taking the necessary steps to become better disciples of Jesus and to help the church grow and mature.
